“A true story of faith, devotion and undying love.”

Parker Wilson (Richard Gere), a college professor, wants nothing more than a quiet life, until he finds a lost Akita puppy on his way home. His wife Cate (Joan Allen) objects, but the dog wins the household over and becomes Parker's constant companion. Lasse Hallström follows their bond as it deepens, and everything the little family has depends on the two staying together.
