Hail Mary

Marie (Myriem Roussel), a college student, learns she is pregnant though she has never had sex, and the news reaches the people near her in different ways. Joseph (Thierry Rode), her boyfriend, has to decide what to make of it, while Archangel Gabriel (Philippe Lacoste) turns up with the explanation. Jean-Luc Godard sets the virgin birth in the present day, and the faith it asks of her is one a young woman has to carry alone.
