Hair High

Spud (Eric Gilliland) walks into Echo High and commits a blunder so bad that Rod (Dermot Mulroney), the school's king, makes him a slave to his girlfriend Cherri (Sarah Silverman). Bill Plympton draws the late-1950s teen-tragedy ballad as a hand-inked cartoon, with a rubbery, lopsided cast. In the end it is a story about the pull between two people that a jealous boyfriend and a high school pecking order cannot break.
