“Follow the crowd, or follow your heart?”

Nobody at the school can work out why Ned Roche (Fionn O'Shea), a loud, music-obsessed sixteen-year-old, is suddenly sharing a room with Conor Masters (Nicholas Galitzine), the star of its rugby-mad boarding house. The two boys could hardly be less alike, and their friendship draws the attention of an English teacher, Dan Sherry (Andrew Scott). John Butler, drawing on his own schooldays, writes the place with the dry, specific humor of someone who remembers it well.
