Hanzo the Razor: The Snare

Hanzo Itami (Shintarō Katsu), a police official in Edo, hauls in whoever breaks the law, whatever rank they hold. The treasury is devaluing the currency and pushing the poor deeper into poverty, and Hanzo shows too little deference to the treasurer, who wants him dead. Yasuzō Masumura sets one stubborn lawman against the men who run the money, and the cost of that lack of deference falls on Hanzo himself.
