Happiness
“Only a woman could dare to make this film.”
François (Jean-Claude Drouot) has a wife he loves, two small children, and a carpentry job, and he is happy with all of it. Then he meets Émilie (Marie-France Boyer), a postal worker, and the affair comes to him as easily as anything else in his days. Agnès Varda sets it in bright Mozart-scored summer, and Thérèse (Claire Drouot) stays at the center of it, the woman he keeps coming home to.
