Happy Accidents

“Sometimes the future is better than it used to be.”

Ruby Weaver (Marisa Tomei) has a long run of bad relationships behind her, and with Sam Deed (Vincent D'Onofrio) she finally has a good one, until he starts muttering that he comes from the year 2470. Brad Anderson shot the film almost entirely in Brooklyn, in the middle of contemporary New York. Ruby keeps one hand on his sleeve and one eye on the door, and she listens anyway.
