Happy Birthday

Andréa (Catherine Deneuve) wants one easy afternoon with everyone she loves, gathered at her big house near the Loire Valley for her birthday. The party is already under way when her daughter Claire (Emmanuelle Bercot) arrives, a woman the family knows to brace for. Cédric Kahn lets the relatives circle her warily, and the tension runs between mother and daughter, who keep reaching for each other and keep missing.
