Happy, Texas

“Escaped convicts disguised as beauty pageant experts? This could get ugly.”

Harry Sawyer (Jeremy Northam) is an escaped convict who ends up in the small town of Happy, Texas, with his partner Wayne Wayne Wayne Jr. (Steve Zahn). The townspeople take the two for a gay couple who coach beauty pageant contestants, and the pair play along to stay ahead of the police. Mark Illsley sets this in a place where everyone knows everyone, and where Sheriff Chappy Dent (William H. Macy) is keeping a secret of his own.
