Happy Times

“An hilarious look at life and the pursuit of happiness!”

Lao Zhao (Zhao Benshan), an ageing bachelor who has never had luck in love, bluffs his way into a lavish wedding by letting a woman believe he is rich. Zhang Yimou follows him as the bluff grows, and Wu Ying (Dong Jie), a blind young woman, is soon drawn into the lie. Everything Lao Zhao has built rests on keeping her from learning what he really has, and the longer he holds it up, the more he stands to lose.
