Happy Together

“Lonely people are all the same.”

Lai Yiu-fai (Tony Leung Chiu-wai) wants his relationship with Ho Po-wing (Leslie Cheung Kwok-wing) to start over, so the two men leave Hong Kong together for Argentina. Wong Kar-wai follows them as they try to hold things together, while Po-wing and Yiu-fai begin drifting into separate lives. Yiu-fai keeps showing up for a man who keeps leaving, and he cannot say whether it is love or habit.
