Harbinger Down

“Terror is just beneath the surface”

Sadie (Camille Balsamo) and her fellow grad students book passage on the crab trawler Harbinger, hoping to document how warming seas are affecting a pod of orcas in the Bering Sea. The captain, Graff (Lance Henriksen), has a crew to feed, and then his nets bring up a piece of old Soviet space wreckage, thawed out of the ice. Alec Gillis made it with practical creature effects, and the film is about what survives when everything around it is dying.
