Hard Truths

In a London house where the mood is set by one woman, Pansy (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) finds fault with everyone: her husband Curtley (David Webber), her grown son Moses (Tuwaine Barrett), and any stranger who speaks to her. Her younger sister Chantelle (Michele Austin) works as a hairdresser, which only makes the gap between them plainer. Mike Leigh stays with Pansy through her bad days, and under the anger sits a fear she has never said aloud.
