Conor O'Neill (Keanu Reeves) scalps tickets, loses money at the track, and owes more than he can pay. A friend will lend him cash on one condition: he coaches a Little League team from the Cabrini Green housing project in Chicago. Brian Robbins puts Conor in front of kids who don't trust him, and the job that was meant to cover his debts starts asking him to show up for them.
