Harlem Nights
“They're up to something big.”
Somebody wants Sugar Ray (Richard Pryor) out of business, and the pressure is coming from two sides at once: vicious gangsters and police on the take. Eddie Murphy, who also wrote the film, plays Quick, the younger man who runs the late-1930s Harlem nightclub alongside him. Quick keeps close to Sugar Ray, and the casino stays open, its doors lit.
