Harmonium

In a small family workshop, Toshio Suzuoka (Kanji Furutachi) hires Yasaka (Tadanobu Asano), an old acquaintance just released from prison. Yasaka moves into the household, where Toshio's wife Akie (Mariko Tsutsui) and their daughter Hotaru (Momone Shinokawa) take him in. Kōji Fukada plays this at a low, even pitch, and Yasaka stays in the doorway of the Suzuoka home, still and watching.
