Harrison Bergeron
“Welcome to the future. It's a no-brainer.”
Harrison Bergeron (Sean Astin) is a young man who tests smarter than everyone around him, and the handicapping that keeps every American at the same level of intelligence does not work on him. The government's purpose, as the film states it, is to make all men equal. Bruce Pittman adapts Kurt Vonnegut's 1961 short story for Showtime, with Eugene Levy as President McCloskey and Andrea Martin as Diana Moon Glampers.
