“A Supernatural Tale of Love and Mystery”

Professor David Ash (Aidan Quinn) makes his living exposing fake mediums, and he accepts an invitation to Edbrook, a house where a secretive family says it is tormented. Once there, he begins to doubt his own senses, and the odd habits of Christina Mariell (Kate Beckinsale) give him little to hold on to. Lewis Gilbert leaves Ash alone with the family, the old nanny and Dr Henry Doyle (John Gielgud), the house closing in around him.
