Havana

(1990)Directed by Sydney Pollack144 min · RDrama, Romance
“A gambler who trusted no one. A woman who risked everything. And a passion that brought them together in the most dangerous city in the world.”

Jack Weil (Robert Redford), a professional gambler, steps off the boat in Havana in 1958 with one thing in mind, the high-stakes poker tables. Then he meets Bobby Duran (Lena Olin), the wife of a Communist revolutionary, and the cards stop being his only interest. Sydney Pollack sets their affair against a city on the eve of revolution, where Jack is gambling with more than his bankroll.
