He Said, She Said

(1991)Directed by Marisa Silver, Ken Kwapis115 min · PG-13Comedy, Drama, Romance
“The story of true love. Both versions.”

Dan Hanson (Kevin Bacon) is a loud, right-wing ladies' man at the Baltimore Sun, and Lorie Bryer (Elizabeth Perkins) is the quiet liberal two desks over who barely notices him. Both want the same vacant column, so the paper prints their opposing opinions side by side, and a combative local TV show follows. Ken Kwapis and Marisa Silver tell the story twice, his version and hers, and each of them is sure the other has it wrong.
