“Savage TRUTH! Stronger than Fiction!”

Roy Martin (Richard Basehart) is a burglar and former wartime radio engineer who keeps a police receiver close and hears every call before the cops can reach him. Alfred L. Werker shoots the manhunt in a semidocumentary style, following Sgt. Marty Brennan (Scott Brady) and the detectives through the dull, patient work of tracing one man across Los Angeles. Each robbery and shooting adds to the pressure, and the police have only a handful of clues to pull him in.
