In an office cubicle farm, Bob Maconel (Christian Slater) eats lunch alone, ignored by his coworkers and planning a shooting spree he keeps ready in his desk. Frank A. Cappello follows him after a coworker opens fire first and Bob stops it, which makes him the hero of a place he meant to destroy. Venessa Parks (Elisha Cuthbert) now lies in a hospital bed, and Bob sits at her side, a gun still in his desk drawer.
