Head-On

“You don't really know how much you can love...”

Sibel (Sibel Kekilli) is a young German woman of Turkish descent who is desperate to get out from under her strict, abusive family. She finds her way out in Cahit (Birol Ünel), a forty-year-old alcoholic widower, and asks him to marry her in name only. Fatih Akin puts the two of them in the same cramped rooms, where Cahit stands among the empty bottles and Sibel stays close to him.
