Heart and Souls

“The story of four souls who needed a body and one guy who needed some soul.”

Four strangers die in a bus crash on a San Francisco night in 1959, and a baby is born at that same moment. Thomas Reilly (Robert Downey Jr.) grows up a businessman who assumes the friends he remembers from childhood were invented, until Harrison Winslow (Charles Grodin) and the other three ghosts turn up needing his help. Ron Underwood keeps the dead unfinished, not scary, and the film keeps asking what a person owes the ones who stayed close to them.
