Heart of Darkness

“The jungle offers incredible riches, but its price can be deadly.”

Marlow (Tim Roth) takes a river steamer deep into Africa for a trading company, sent to find Kurtz (John Malkovich), the head of an outpost that has stopped answering. Nicolas Roeg, adapting Conrad's 1899 novella for television, follows him upriver toward a man the company can no longer account for. The farther Marlow goes, the less civilization seems to have kept anyone from the evil in themselves.
