Heartbreak Ridge

“...the scars run deep.”

Nobody in the recon platoon can say why the Corps keeps sending them a gunnery sergeant who was awarded the Medal of Honor at Heartbreak Ridge and still carries the war around like a weight. Gunny Highway (Clint Eastwood) takes over a spoiled, sullen unit while fighting with Major Powers (Everett McGill) and his ex-wife Aggie (Marsha Mason). Clint Eastwood directs, and Highway stands in front of his men, a scarred old Marine, working them toward Grenada.
