“Music runs in the family”

In Red Hook, Brooklyn, the summer before Sam Fisher (Kiersey Clemons) leaves for college, her father Frank (Nick Offerman) is closing the vintage record shop he has run for years. Brett Haley has the two of them play together in the evenings, Frank pushing for a band and Sam half humoring him. Then a song they record goes online, and the weekly jam becomes the one place a father who can't hold onto the store tries to hold onto his daughter.
