“A Los Angeles crime saga.”

A armored car job in Los Angeles goes bloody, and Lt. Vincent Hanna (Al Pacino) takes the case against Neil McCauley (Robert De Niro), who runs his crew of thieves like a tight machine. Michael Mann frames the city in glass and steel, and the heists are laid out down to the weapons and the timing. Each man studies the other from across the chase, and the respect between them grows with every move.
