Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison

It is World War II, and a South Pacific island is held by the Japanese. Sister Angela (Deborah Kerr), an Irish nun, and Corporal Allison (Robert Mitchum), a Marine, end up stranded there together, hiding in a cave and foraging for food while the enemy searches. John Huston keeps the two of them close, Kerr in her habit and Mitchum in his fatigues, a nun and a Marine sharing one cave with nowhere else to go.
