Heaven Knows What

Why does a young woman named Harley (Arielle Holmes) spend her days in New York panhandling, moving from one fix to the next with no fixed address? Josh and Benny Safdie adapted the film from Holmes's own unpublished book, and she plays a version of herself among a homeless group of heroin addicts. Her boyfriend Ilya (Caleb Landry Jones) drifts in and out of her days, and everything she does still bends toward him.
