“A step beyond science fiction.”

The film is a 1981 Canadian animated anthology adapted from Heavy Metal magazine, and it opens with a glowing orb sitting in a young girl's home. Directed by Gerald Potterton, it plays the orb's stories one after another, with Rodger Bumpass and John Candy among the voices. The orb calls itself the embodiment of ultimate evil, and the girl has nowhere to go while it tells them.
