“A little bit of hope can go a long way”

Nobody can say why Hector McAdam (Peter Mullan) left a comfortable family life for the motorways, where he has spent years sleeping and washing in service stations. Every Christmas he makes the long trip south from Scotland to a temporary shelter in London, the one place that offers him warmth and company. Jake Gavin follows him on this walk, with the past he abandoned closing in and his need for the shelter getting harder to ignore.
