Heidi

A girl of eight is left by her aunt at the door of a grandfather she has never met, a man the villagers call Alpöhi (Bruno Ganz), who lives alone high in the Swiss mountains. Heidi (Anuk Steffen) settles in beside him until her aunt takes her back and sends her to Frankfurt, as company for Klara Sesemann (Isabelle Ottmann). Alain Gsponer leaves her in the city with one thing at stake: whether she will ever see her grandfather again.
