Heist

“It isn't love that makes the world go round.”

Joe Moore (Gene Hackman) loves his work as a thief until a security camera catches his face and the job goes sour. His fence, Mickey Bergman (Danny DeVito), won't pay what he owes, and Moore's wife Fran (Rebecca Pidgeon) may be seeing Bergman's young lieutenant, Jimmy Silk (Sam Rockwell). Mamet, writing and directing, gives his crooks clipped, procedural talk and lets the planning carry the pace.
