Helen of Troy

(1956)Directed by Robert Wise121 min · PGAdventure, War, Romance, History
“Its towering wonders span the age of titans! Its tumultuous story has lived for thirty centuries!”

Troy and Sparta have wanted a reason for war for years, and a shipwreck hands them one. Prince Paris (Jacques Sernas) washes up on the Spartan coast and falls for a woman before he learns she is Queen Helen (Rossana Podestà). Robert Wise tells it as a first love that happens to carry a whole city's ruin, where nobody in the story can keep their private feeling private.
