Heleno
“Passion. Decadence. Destruction.”
Nobody could say why the most celebrated striker in Brazil in the 1940s was so hard to live beside. Heleno de Freitas (Rodrigo Santoro) scores for Botafogo and is adored in Rio, with Silvia (Alinne Moraes) near him and the game still going his way. José Henrique Fonseca shoots it in black and white, and Santoro in a dark suit stands lit against a pale wall, the glamour of the city already thinning around him.
