Heli

A debt has gone bad in Heli's household, and the trouble traces back to his 12-year-old sister, Estela (Andrea Vergara), who has unknowingly pulled the family into the local drug trade. Heli (Armando Espitia) is a young father with a wife and a newborn, and he finds the cartel and a corrupt police force both closing in on his home. Amat Escalante, who won Best Director at Cannes for it, holds his camera still on the violence and does not look away.
