Hellfighters

“The Toughest Hellfighter Of All!”

Chance Buckman (John Wayne) wants to keep doing the one job he knows, putting out oil well fires in fields around the world, and he'd rather not think about what it has cost at home. His ex-wife Madelyn (Vera Miles) and daughter Tish (Katharine Ross) are still part of his life, and so is his young partner Greg Parker (Jim Hutton). Andrew V. McLaglen's film, loosely drawn from the life of Red Adair, treats this work as a trade that people choose and keep choosing.
