“This Halloween, Hell Comes Knocking”

Dora Vogel (Chloe Rose) is a teenager home alone on Halloween night when three trick-or-treaters appear at her door, and nothing about them reads as children in costume. Bruce McDonald stages the long night as an anxious one, with Dora cut off from her boyfriend, Dr. Henry (Rossif Sutherland), and from the neighborhood she grew up in. What keeps her inside the house is less the visitors than what she has not yet told the people who love her.
