Hello, Dolly!

(1969)Directed by Gene Kelly148 min · GComedy, Romance
“Come anytime for the time of your life!”

Dolly Levi (Barbra Streisand), a matchmaker with opinions about everyone's love life, takes the train to Yonkers to call on Horace Vandergelder (Walter Matthau), a miserly half-a-millionaire who is not yet married. She has talked his niece, the niece's intended, and his two clerks into following her to New York City. Gene Kelly keeps the street in motion, and Streisand stands in the middle of it, hat angled, one gloved hand already lifted.
