“Howard Hughes' Thrilling Multi-Million Dollar Air Spectacle”

Roy (James Hall) and Monte Rutledge (Ben Lyon) are English brothers who enlist in the Royal Flying Corps when war breaks out, leaving behind their Oxford friend Karl (John Darrow), who is ordered home to Germany. Roy's girlfriend Helen (Jean Harlow) draws both brothers into a love triangle, and Monte's fear of combat puts a secret bombing mission at risk. Howard Hughes, who also produced, filmed the air battles for real in a production that took years.
