Hemingway & Gellhorn

“We were good in war. And when there was no war, we made our own.”

Martha Gellhorn (Nicole Kidman) is a young journalist who meets Ernest Hemingway (Clive Owen), already famous, in a Key West bar, and neither one can say what makes the meeting stick. Philip Kaufman follows their romance from there, with John Dos Passos (David Strathairn) beside them and Pauline Hemingway (Molly Parker) left waiting at home. Kidman and Owen sit across a table in the frame, a drink between them, each looking at the other.
