Hercules and the Captive Women

(1961)Directed by Vittorio Cottafavi101 minAdventure, Fantasy, Action
“THE WEIRDEST! THE WILDEST! Half Woman! Half Stone!”

King Androcles of Thebes sails in search of a threat to Greece, and Hercules (Reg Park) is among his crew until he goes overboard in a thick fog. He washes ashore just in time to pull the young Ismene (Laura Efrikian) away from Proteus, a shape-shifting creature. She leads him to Atlantis, where her mother, Queen Antinea (Fay Spain), holds Androcles captive, and Vittorio Cottafavi's hero now has one king to free and a whole empire to stop.
