Here Comes the Boom

“No one will fight for his students like Mr. Voss.”

Nobody at the school can work out why Scott Voss (Kevin James), a biology teacher who has stopped trying, keeps turning up to class bruised. The cause is a second job as a mixed martial arts fighter, taken on to raise money for a music program that Marty Streb (Henry Winkler) teaches and the budget is about to cut. Frank Coraci builds the story on a plain idea: sometimes you put your own body on the line so a roomful of kids can keep playing.
