Here Without Me

In a small Iranian household with ordinary dreams and ordinary troubles, a mother (Fatemeh Motamed-Arya) holds the family together by sheer management. Her son Ehsan (Saber Abar) and her daughter Yalda (Negar Javaherian) each want more than she has planned for, and Bahram Tavakkoli, working from Tennessee Williams's The Glass Menagerie, lets small events pull at her arrangements. Everything she has built rests on the family staying exactly as she arranged it.
