Hesher

“Sometimes life gives you the finger and sometimes it gives you...”

A long-haired metalhead named Hesher (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) moves into the house of T.J. (Devin Brochu), a boy still reeling from his mother's death in a car crash. T.J.'s father Paul (Rainn Wilson) sits in a stupor on the couch while Madeleine (Piper Laurie), the grandmother, tries to hold the house together. Spencer Susser directs it as a dark comedy, keeping the mess loud and close to the family.
