Hey Hey It's Esther Blueburger

“Sometimes to fit in you need to stand out”

Esther Blueburger (Danielle Catanzariti) is thirteen and Jewish, and she spends her days at a posh Australian private school where nobody will sit with her. Then she meets Sunni (Keisha Castle-Hughes), a nonconformist from the local public school, and invents a story that gets her through its gates as a foreign exchange student. Cathy Randall builds the film around the two girls, and everything Esther wants from her new life is tied up in Sunni.
