Hibernatus

Hubert de Tartas (Louis de Funès) wants a quiet, orderly household, and then his wife's grandfather is dug out of the polar ice after sixty-five years of frozen sleep. Once the old man is thawed, he still thinks it is the start of the century, and the family builds a whole make-believe past around him to keep him calm. Édouard Molinaro lets de Funès fret and flap through the rooms, the old man waiting politely at the center of it.
