Naina Mathur (Rani Mukerji) has Tourette syndrome, and school after school has turned her away for it. St. Notker's, her old school, finally gives her a post, and with it class 9F, a room of students from the nearby slum, admitted only to fill a government quota. Mr. Wadia (Neeraj Kabi) is among the teachers who want those children gone. Siddharth P. Malhotra keeps the camera close on Mukerji's face, in the classroom and out of it.
