High Flying Bird

(2019)Directed by Steven Soderbergh90 min · RDrama
“Play the game on top of the game.”

The NBA lockout has frozen every paycheck, and Ray Burke (André Holland), an agent with a rookie client going nowhere, says he has a plan to save their careers and shake up the league's power structure. He has 72 hours to pitch it to Erick Scott (Melvin Gregg), and what the plan actually is stays out of sight. Steven Soderbergh shot it entirely on an iPhone 8, keeping the camera close to talkers in offices and hallways.
